StudioOne Security Doorbell

Simple setup, menu-driven navigation, and 1-Land Impact. Perfect for personal parcels, Linden Homes, and rentals.

Quick Start Guide

Follow these four simple steps to get your hybrid security system operational immediately.

1. Unpack

Rez the doorbell. If your land is Group Owned, you must rez the M/T version and deed it immediately (see Deeding section).

2. Activation

Long Click the device for 2 seconds. In the menu, select ON/OFF to toggle the security ring light to Blue.

3. Permissions

Go to Settings > Mode. Choose Active to eject everyone not whitelisted, or Passive to only eject blacklisted users.

4. Communication

Open the discord notecard in the contents. Paste your Webhook URL to bridge messages to your Discord server.

How to Interact

Standard Click

Visitor Chime: Opens a message window. You receive the text in local chat with a profile link. Works even while you are offline!

Status Light:
● Green = Owner Online
● Red = Owner Offline

LONG Click

Security Menu: Hold for 2 seconds to access Admin settings. This prevents accidental menu triggers by guests.

Ring Light:
● Blue = Security ON
○ White = Security OFF

Pro-Tip: Rename your doorbell (e.g., "Main Store Entrance"). Your Discord alerts and IMs will include this name, helping you identify the exact location.
Group Land

Group Deeding

If your land is group-owned, you MUST deed the system to have eject permissions. You will not see an "ON" button until deeding is complete.

Steps to Deed:

  1. Rez the M/T (Mod/Transfer) version of the doorbell.
  2. Right-click > Edit > General tab.
  3. Set Group to the land's group and check Share.
  4. Click Deed.

Security Modes & Settings

Operational Modes

ACTIVE: Ejects everyone immediately unless they are an Admin, on the Whitelist, or in the allowed Group.

PASSIVE: Only ejects users specifically added to the Blacklist. No warnings are sent to standard visitors.

Range & Altitude

Parcel Mode: Monitors the entire land plot automatically.

Height Range: Set min/max altitudes (0-4096m). Ideal for skyboxes; set your range to cover just your floor to avoid ground-level accidents.

Eject Action Types

Type Action Taken Availability
Home Teleports the intruder to their set Home location. Private Estates Only
Parcel Physically pushes the user to the parcel edge. Universal (LL Home Compliant)

Discord Webhook Integration

Forward doorbell messages to Discord for shared management. If no hook is specified, the system reverts to in-world only alerts.

  1. Copy your Webhook URL from Discord.
  2. Open the doorbell's Content tab.
  3. Paste the URL into the discord notecard and save.
Compliance

Linden Home Restrictions

The system automatically recognizes Linden Home parcels and locks settings to comply with the LL Covenant:

  • Min Delay: 15 seconds.
  • Eject Type: Forced to 'Parcel'.
  • Exclusion Zone: Monitoring disabled between 400m and 2000m to respect neighbor privacy.

Troubleshooting & Error Handling

"Memory Warning": If the script memory gets low, use the CLEAR button on your Visitor or Ejected logs to wipe old database entries.

"Invalid UUID": Ensure you are using the full 36-character key (found on profiles) when adding users to lists manually. Name-based entry is not supported.
